2. Accuracy of Metrics
MicType provides typing metrics such as Words Per Minute (WPM) and character accuracy. While our engine is designed to be highly accurate based on standard definitions (1 word = 5 characters), these metrics are for personal improvement and entertainment purposes only. They should not be used as official certification or proof of typing capability for employment, legal, or academic purposes unless explicitly accepted by the receiving institution.
3. Data Privacy and Local Storage
MicType is designed with privacy in mind. All typing statistics and history are stored locally in your browser's local storage. We do not transmit your keystrokes, typing history, or personal identifiers to our servers. Consequently, clearing your browser data will permanently delete your typing history, and we cannot recover it.
